Built in 1985, this grey-toned six-storey building with a lift is located right by the harbour. There is a rather steep hill north of the building, with the property partially on the slope. Each apartment has a sauna and a balcony facing east/west. There is a communal barbecue shelter and good-sized general and outdoor equipment storage rooms available for the residents. The services of Paavola and the city centre are almost within walking distance.
The Niemi district is located north of the city centre and bordered by the Mukkula, Kivimaa and Kartano districts and the eastern shore of Vesijärvi lake. Parts of the Niemenkatu street are on a rather steep rocky hill. These residential areas mainly consist of apartment blocks built from the 1950s to the 2000s, with the newest one found in Ruoriniemi by the lake. In the summer the nearby harbour provides a lovely setting for spending time with several restaurants and tourist services. The Sibelius Hall Congress and Concert Centre can also be found in the harbour area. For transport links, see the Trip Planner for Lahti »
