Michailowinkatu 11 is located on the southwestern slope of Kakolanmäki hill, on the side of the impressive western block of the former prison. The building is part of a closed square-shaped block and a great match with the old prison building next door. With an airy and light overall feel, the building follows the natural contours of the hill. Once completed, the block will have a pleasant and sheltered courtyard garden. The shared facilities, outdoor equipment and baby transport storage rooms, private storage units and civil defence shelter can be found on lowest floors.
You will be able to take the funicular railway straight from Linnankatu street to your home building.
Kakolanmäki and its environs are a pleasant and peaceful neighbourhood close to Turku Castle. Everyday services, schools and day care centres are all within walking distance. For cultural pursuits, the area offers numerous museums and e.g. the many performance at the concert hall of Turku Conservatory. Sports and exercise fans head across the river to Samppalinna sports park and indoor courts.
