Kultareuna in Etelä-Haaga - a little haven in the middle of the city

Now fully renovated, the building was constructed in 1960. The building has three residential storeys, business units on floor 1, a basement and an attic. There are a total of 30 apartments in two staircase sections, ranging from studios to family homes with four bedrooms and an open-concept living room/kitchen area. The apartments have large strip windows typical of the mid-century modern period, providing plenty of natural light and leafy views. The apartments have leafy park views to the east and all excluding the 29 m2 studios have a west-facing balcony. The renovation involved switching to environmentally friendly geothermal heat as the heating form for the building.

The interior decor materials, furnishings and fittings of these light-toned homes are beautiful and timeless. The harmonious colour scheme is pleasing to many tastes and the open, clean layouts make it easy to furnish your home to your liking. The apartment floors are done in pale oak-effect laminate and the walls are painted in a pale shade. The doors of the kitchen cabinets are white woodgrain-effect microlaminate and have metal pulls. The backsplash and the countertops are in pale laminate. The kitchens are equipped with an induction cooktop, built-in oven, cooker hood, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. All appliances are white. There is space for a microwave. The under-sink cabinets are equipped with SATO’s Seth waste unit consisting of coloured waste bins for easy recycling.

The bathrooms come with white Kide range furniture designed for SATO. The massive-laminate Kide furniture is made in Finland and has been awarded both the Key Flag and the Design from Finland symbols. The bathroom walls are done in white tiles, and the floor tiles are grey. The bathrooms come with hookups and space for a washing machine.

The building’s residents have access to shared outdoor equipment storage and laundry drying room as well as apartment-specific storage units located in the basement. Floor 1 features five rental business units. The waste container area is located on the grounds on the south side of the building.
