SATO supported homeless and young people this holiday season

3 January 2017

This holiday season SATO made donations to the homeless organisation Vailla vakinaista asuntoa ry and gave gift vouchers to young people through a social media campaign via the Hope – Yhdessä & yhteisesti association providing concrete assistance to families with children facing financial difficulties or other crises.

— We want to enable personal assistance and support that VVA ry provides to those people who do not have the personal capacity to address their homelessness, says SATO President and CEO Saku Sipola.

In addition to the traditional holiday season donation, SATO activated people through social media to share ideas on what young people would like as presents. The campaign resulted in us giving gift vouchers via the Hope association to teenage members of families facing financial difficulties. SATO employees and tenants of SATO’s head office building also got the opportunity to grab a wish from the Christmas tree in the building's lobby and buy a present that was delivered by Hope directly to the young person who made the wish. This was the third Christmas present campaign of its kind organised by SATO.
