Kultareuna in Etelä-Haaga - a little haven in the middle of the city

A building that is classified in the local detailed plan as valuable in terms of urban landscape, architecture and cultural history, Ansaritie 2–4 is located in the Kultareuna neighbourhood of Etelä-Haaga, Helsinki. The grounds at the back of the property border on the leafy Kangaspelto park area with old trees, sand paths and children’s play areas.

The property boasts a central location in terms of transport in the immediate vicinity of Vihdintie road. The start of the Tampere motorway is less than a kilometre away and the Turku motorway a few minutes from the property. Munkkivuori shopping centre is also just a short walk away.
Now fully renovated, the building was constructed in 1959 and has three storeys with apartments as well as storage units in the basement and attic. There are a total of 45 apartments in two staircase sections, ranging from studios to family homes with four bedrooms and an open-concept living room/kitchen area. The large windows of the apartments guarantee plenty of light and views of nature. All of the homes apart from the studios have west-facing balconies. There are no lifts in the building.

Residents have access to apartment-specific storage units, shared outdoor equipment storage, a sauna section and a laundry and drying room. There are 22 garage units with heating and charging points in the basement that can be rented separately. Good opportunities for on-street parking can also be found in and around Ansaritie street. Also inquire separate storage room for rent!

In the fall of 2023 an independent council of the best specialists of the broad field of sustainable production and consumerism chose this building to be added to the Osta vastuullisesti (Buy sustainably) website. The council appraises the more sustainable lifestyle and options from the standpoint of a relative sustainability.

The interior decor materials, furnishings and fittings of these light-toned homes are beautiful and timeless. The harmonious colour scheme is pleasing to many tastes: the clean layouts make it easy to furnish your home to your liking. The apartment floors are done in pale oak-effect laminate and the walls are painted in painter’s white.
The doors of the kitchen cabinets are white woodgrain-effect microlaminate and have metal pulls. The countertops are in beige laminate. Depending on the size of the apartment, the kitchen is equipped with a two- or four-burner induction cooktop, built-in oven, extractor fan, 45 or 60 cm dishwasher and fridge-freezer. All appliances are white and there is space for a microwave. The under-sink cabinets are equipped with SATO’s Seth waste unit consisting of coloured waste bins for easy recycling. The windows are fitted with white Venetian blinds.
The bathrooms come with white Kide range furniture designed for SATO. The massive-laminate Kide furniture is made in Finland and has been awarded both the Key Flag and the Design from Finland symbols. The bathroom walls are done in white tiles, and the textured floor tiles are grey. The bathrooms come with hookups and space for a washing machine.
The building’s residents have access to shared outdoor equipment storage units, a sauna section and laundry drying room as well as apartment-specific storage units located in the basement. The attic level features two terraces where you can dry and air laundry. There are also business units available to rent and storage units for baby transport and outdoor equipment at the street level.
The building has an iLOQ locking system and centralised mechanical supply and exhaust ventilation with heat recovery. The property is heated with geothermal energy. Heat distribution takes place via the heat distribution room though hot-water radiator heating. The wet rooms have electric underfloor heating. The balconies are not glazed.
