The biggest assets of Itä-Pasila are splendid transport links and excellent everyday services. Pasila railway station and Mall of Tripla are located just a stone's throw away. Greener than its reputation, this neighbourhood has ample pedestrian walkways and the outdoor routes of Central Park are also just a short walk away. Most of the area is also on two levels, a foot traffic level and a lower level for cars. Several regional and U line buses headed to Espoo, Vantaa and Hyrylä run along Mäkelänkatu and Ratapihantie streets. There are several day care centres and schools in the area, and also Helsinki Main Library and Messukeskus Expo and Convention Centre. For outdoor enjoyment, the area has many biking and walking paths.
