SATO StudioHome picked for the Journalists’ Dozen 2015

SATO StudioHome, the affordable rental housing concept of housing investment company SATO, has been picked for the Journalists’ Dozen 2015 by the Finnish Association of Interior Design Journalists (Sisustustoimittajat ry).
Investment Manager Miikka Karjaluoto from SATO:
- SATO StudioHome has been doing fantastically well ever since the completion of the model home in June. The size of the home has drawn a lot of attention – 16 sqm deviates from the current standards. The concept of SATO StudioHome expands the idea of home to the other living spaces of the house: there is a communal living area downstairs, and a lavish sauna section with terrace on the top floor.
- But, the popularity of the model home at the Vantaa Housing Fair and the recognition now received from interior design journalists are proof of us having been able to turn a compact space into something very functional, comfortable and beautiful.
- The town plan amendment for the first SATO StudioHome property is currently being considered by the City of Vantaa and we are about to leave a waiver application in. If a decision favourable for SATO is reached, the first residents will move into the Martinlaakso homes during 2017.

- SATO StudioHome is a compact mini-home, and as such a fine option for the need of affordable rental apartments. High ceilings add a spacious feel to the small home, and the interior design choices are very current. We also appreciate the communal aspect of the shared spaces of the house.
The Journalists' Dozen is a recognition awarded by the Association of Interior Design Journalists to the twelve most interesting Finnish interior decor products launched in the past year. The Journalists’ Dozen 2015 was published today at Habitare Helsinki Furniture, Interior Decoration and Design Fair at Messukeskus Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre.
