Katajanokka is cozy a residential area located very close to the seafront. There is easy access to all of Helsinki’s city-centre services and two grocery stores, several day care centres and a school in the area. The Market Square and the Old Market Hall are a ten-minute walk away, and it is also easy to take the tram or ride a city bike to the centre. There is a well-maintained walking route around the Katajanokka peninsula, taking you past sights such icebreakers and the majestic buildings of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs on the northern shore.
